Incorporating yoga into your weekly routine is a great way to give yourself a break from the business of everyday life. Our small, weekly classes provide a space that allows you to decompress, invigorate, grow, restore and reconnect with yourself in a supportive group environment.
When beginning a new class, please make sure to come in a little earlier so that you can discuss any potential limitations with the instructor. Our gentle yoga class is designed for older adults and students new to yoga, offering a gradual and comfortable practice to help maintain strength and agility, improve balance and coordination, and heighten mental stability. Students of gentle yoga will cultivate improved postures and breathing techniques and leave each class feeling relaxed, focused, and revitalized.
Heart Centered Yoga
(Tuesdays 9:30am – 10:45am) – Dona Robinson
Come learn how breath and movement create a heart-centered meditation as we practice by focusing on our heart energy. Dona will help us to physically explore the way the lungs surround the heart. As we feel the movement of inhalation and exhalation, we will create a place of peace and acceptance. As feelings and sensations arise, we can observe with compassion resulting in greater calmness, physical relaxation, and positive physiological balance. Come see how practicing yoga with a focus on the breath and heart center can create a positive flow for your emotions and thoughts throughout the day.
